A wealthy banker enters a reckless bet with a young stranger and is left to deal with the long-term consequences. Starting and ending in the disquiet of a late summer night, the film presents as a spectacle of transformation, a journey from silent despair to melodic madness.

 

An adaptation, of The Bet by Anton Chekhov, Late Summer won the category of best student film at the Kingston International Film Festival in 2023.
